Christmas 2009

What a wonderful Christmas. We were very busy little bees, but had a very memorable Christmas. The girls were spoiled rotten as usual. Santa Clause outdid himself and got them each a doll house and they got a Wii together. I think daddy is enjoying that more than they are :). We visited lots of family and had a great time everywhere we went (and the girls were even more spoiled, but I wouldn't have it any other way). They got so many toys from their family members until I wonder if they will have time to play with all of them :) They got everything they wanted and more. I so enjoy watching them open presents at this age, it is a very precious time.

There is nothing like waiting until the last minute....

We finally got all of our Christmas shopping done!!!! At least I hope we have. I can't think of a single thing that we forgot. I guess I will find out soon enough. We had fun today. We took the girls to Toys r' us to pick out gifts for each other. Its amazing how well they chose their special gifts. They were so excited, they wanted to give their gifts right then. But, we finally distracted them and got their mind of it. I just hope they can wait until Christmas day to open them. Carley got Anna Claire a little stuffed animal (kitten). Anna Claire got Carley a princess Belle doll (one that you can fix their hair. It was very sweet. We had fun, but now I am ready to get everything wrapped and relax a little before we get to Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It is going to be like a whirl wind. I will try to take in every special moment and savor all of them. I know the girls won't be this little forever.

Exciting News to Share!!!

Such a wonderful blessing has been bestowed upon my family. My sister, Dana, has been blessed with a baby. She has recently found out whether she will be having a boy or a girl. Last night our whole family gathered at her house. She had baked some cupcakes and put frosting inside one of the cupcakes. The frosting would represent whether she would be having a boy or girl. I was so excited, I got the one with the frosting in it. It was blue frosting, which means we will be blessed with a boy in our family. His name is Noah. How symbolic is the name this child has been given. Well, I look at it like this: Noah stood against anyone who doubted our most wonderful God. By trusting in God, Noah was able to save his family and all of the animals from a terrible flood. This Noah is showing that same concept. Trust in God and all will be alright. My sister has trusted in God throughout her whole battle with infertility. By trusting in God, she has been rewarded. Wow, what a great reward to recieve. God is great!!!! Our lives will be tested with floods, if we trust in our God, we can endure these floods of life. I can't wait for this little miracle to grace us with his presence!!!

Day Two, I'm kinda figuring this thing out!!

I have been playing around with this thing and have discovered how to add pictures. Now, my next big step is figuring out how to put these pictures where I want them in my blog. I am about ready to start sharing more with everyone. I hope you enjoy what I hope I can offer. I am hoping that this will be something that I will be able to share with my little ones and my husband as time goes on. Many things happen while children are so young and I have decided I want to document as much as I can.

I would like to share a little bit about my family. We are a very fun loving group. My husband, Brent, is the clown of the group with a young follower by his side. Our youngest, Anna Claire, is on his coat tails when it comes to being funny. Maybe it is genetic, maybe it is not, who knows. Carley, our oldest, is more like me. She is very tender hearted and compassionate. She gives in to conflict very easy. She is my easy going child. Anna Claire, on the other hand, is very dominant and stubborn. I have a feeling she is going to be a leader when she grows up. She has every trait of that. She fights her battle strong. Her will is that of a rock!! Our day to day activities will reveal these things in due time. I hope this will be an interesting and inspirational blog. I will leave you with a verse that is near and dear to me. One that is very recognizable to most.... Phillipians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" I know I can be the best mom I can and be the best wife, friend, sister, daughter, aunt, etc. because God will keep me strong. He will keep me strong in the most difficult of times as well as the best of times. Thanks for stopping by!!!

MY NEW BLOG!!!

My sister has bugged me for a while to start my own blog. I have finally decided that it would be a good thing for me and my family to document some of the precious moments that are happening in our lives. We have a crazy and busy life, but we love it!! I will learn more as I go (from my expert blogger "my sis") and hopefully make this an interesting and inspirational blog.
